Services Provided by CIS

Banner Accounts & Security

This service allows you to create a new Banner account that will enable access to applicable student information or other administrative data. You may also request changes to account security or the deletion of accounts.

Information needed to request this service:

  • Identification information — campus NetID or Banner ID, first and last name, department and name of supervisor or supervisor’s designee.
  • Whenever possible, identify whom the account may be mirrored after (for example, “grant same access as John Doe”).
  • State whether Banner account is for faculty/staff, department chair, department chair support staff or student employee.
  • For employees, include date of effective employment. For student employees, also provide the beginning and ending terms they will require access.
  • The standing course of action is to create accounts only within the production (PROD) database. If, however, the requester also requires that the development (DEVL) database be altered, they must specifically state so.
  • State whether the individual requires access to ImageNow. If so, what group membership(s) should be assigned?
