The Learning Center is part of students’ Success Network.
For the Fall 2020 semester, all tutoring will be remote, and conducted via Zoom. The Learning Center is still an open space, but at a reduced capacity. Please follow all social distancing guidelines, including wearing a mask. If a tutor and tutee are both on campus, consideration will be given to having a tutoring session face-to-face in the Learning Center; please reach out to the Learning Center if you want to arrange this.
No-Show & Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a session within 24 hours before the scheduled time, you must call the Learning Center at 518-564-2287. Failure to call will be considered a no-show. If you have two no-shows and/or three cancellations without a valid reason, you will no longer be eligible for tutoring appointments.

Q: How will I know if I have a tutoring appointment with a tutee?
A: You will receive an email when someone makes an appointment with you. Please make sure to check your Cardinal Star settings. If you aren’t receiving a reminder email, you need to go into your settings and adjust.
Q: What if my tutee doesn’t show up for his or her appointment?
A: Tutors must wait 15 minutes for their tutees. If after 15 minutes the tutee doesn’t show, you will mark your session report accordingly (in Outcomes in Cardinal Star).
Q: I need to complete a session report after every session. How?
A: Please log into Cardinal Star. Find the appointment in your calendar. Hover over the icon on the top left. Click outcomes. Complete outcomes and speed notes.
