Things to Do In Plattsburgh

The City of Plattsburgh and surrounding region has plenty to offer when it comes to recreation, dining, and shopping!

Outdoor Recreation:
SUNY Plattsburgh is situated very close to the Adirondack Park, home to beautiful hiking and climbing trails, rivers and lakes, and plenty of gorgeous scenery. Lake Champlain offers year-round recreation along its beaches with swimming, fishing, and boating in summer, and ice sports and ice fishing in the winter. Local rivers and smaller lakes are the perfect spot for kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP).  Many local shops offer rentals for the day.
